Home Sports Pink Diamond Promotions forced to postpone “Daddy and Me” competition
Organisers of the inaugural “Daddy and Me” competition, which was scheduled for Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at the Transport Sports Club Ground in Thomas Lands, Georgetown, have been forced to postpone the event, mainly because of the small number of participants.
This competition, which was set to showcase fathers and sons competing against their counterparts in different sporting challenges, will now be held on July 24th 2022 at the same venue. Tickets bought for the original date would still be valid for the new date, and remain at a cost of $1000.
Warren Wilson, Founder of Pink Diamond Promotions, has said, “We are deeply saddened that we are unable to execute this project on schedule this weekend. We do apologise to the participants who have registered already, and to those who have indicated their support in terms of attendance.
“We promise to make sure that, for the new date, we can get things up and running, to have a great day of sports and challenging events.”
This inaugural competition is still set to highlight fathers teaming with their sons in three categories: 7 to 9, 10 to 12, & 13 to 16, competing in several disciplines to be crowned champion. These events include tug-o-war, softball cricket, and obstacle courses.
The organisers are also encouraging other fathers to register, and have now opened access to fathers and their daughters. For more info, those interested are invited to make contact on 672-2719, or 657-8793.
