On June 21,2020 (Father’s Day) the Pink Diamond Promotions, founded by Warren Wilson will be hosting its inaugural “Daddy & Me” sporting competition at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.

Founder Warren Wilson, Manager Soffanna Lewis and Events Coordinator Kade Pearce

In a simple ceremony held at the National Racquet Centre, Wilson said, “Every year there is some form of competition that involves mothers and daughters. I’ve realized that fathers need something too, that’s why I came up with this idea where the fathers and sons will be able to bond better through sport. The competition will take the form of skills challenges, races, obstacle courses and many more, the categories will be 7-11 years, 12-16 years and 17-open, as their will be the requisite challenges for the respective age ranges. We will make the cost to enter the tournament as reasonable as possible as we want everyone to come out that day and enjoy themselves. But the basic idea of the tournament is to bring the families together through good, clean sports.”
Wilson also noted that paying attention to the rules of the games is very important as the fathers are required to pass a physical test to ensure their eligibility in the competition. The completion is open to all fathers. Completed registration forms with all relevant documents must be submitted by March 15, 2020 to the organizing committee. All eligible participants must attend cardio and aerobics sessions which will be provided by the committee. All participants must disclose any preceding health conditions; the organizing committee reserves the right to refuse entry to any potential participant if deemed unfit.
For further information, persons can contact Warren Wilson on 627-2719, Kade Pearce 620-0462 or Sophia on 685-6077. Registration forms can be uplifted from the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, National Gymnasium or Coach Scott at the Eve Leary ground.
