Ranks of the Guyana Police Force’s Narcotics Branch are looking for a Plaisance, East Coast Demerara resident in relation to a recent cocaine bust at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
Wanted is 27-year-old Delvor Bunbury of Lot 37 Victoria Road, Plaisance.
He is wanted for questioning into a trafficking in narcotics matter that occurred on Monday last. About 16:35h on the day in question, Narcotics Police intercepted an outgoing passenger, who was bound for the United States, and conducted a search on his belongings.
They subsequently unearthed 1828 grams of cocaine. The suspect, who has been identified as Travis Mendonca of Kara Kara, Linden and Ozone Park in Queens, New York, was taken into custody and narcotics trafficking charges were instituted. However, he is yet to be placed before the court.
Guyana Times was told that Bunbury’s name came up during investigations; hence, the wanted bulletin was issued.
