Plaisance Secondary blow-out Tutorial High, St Joseph High and Bladen Hall pick up wins

NSBF, Georgetown and East Coast Regionals

The National School Basketball Festival, Georgetown and East Coast Regionals’ continued last weekend at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
In the Under-14 category St Stanislaus College blew-out Plaisance Secondary 33-8. Nathan Hackett led the way with a double-double of 13 points, 19 rebounds and an impressive 4 steals while Omario Ganeshbin chipped in 10 points and grabbed 6rebs for Saints. Kelteen

Sampson scored 4 points for Plaisance
St Roses High edged Tutorial High 9-7. Jaheem Burton scored 4 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for St Roses while Jaden Moses scored 3 points and collected 5 steals for Tutorial.
Marian Academy defeated The Bishops’ High School (BHS) 22-15 behind Corey Graham’s 7 points and 13 rebounds. Timothy Richmond scored 8 points for Bishops.
The Under-16 games saw St Joseph High thrashing Charlestown Secondary 29-8. Shaquavon Gill and Tahir Meusa guided St Joseph to victory scoring 11 and 10 points respectively. Keoma Henry posted 8 points for Charlestown.
Plaisance High continued their string of impressive performances with a 38-23 victory over Tutorial High School. Nigel Bowen had a near triple-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and 8 steals while Andrew Johnson dominated with 20 points for Plaisance. Zion Gray had 13 points for Tutorial.
Bladen Hall narrowly edge Queen’s College (QC) 23-22. Joshua Gordon’s 14 points and Quacey Shortt 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks were enough to steer their side to victory. Luguard Mohan score 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for QC.
In the Under-19 segment St. Joseph High topped Queen’s College 37-32 in a thrilling contest. Lemuel Grant led all scorers with 16 points for St. Joseph meanwhile Damani Thomas added 9 points and 14 rebounds for Queen’s College.
Plaisance Secondary destroyed Tutorial High 88-35 behind star man Terrence Daniels who had an outstanding game scoring 29 points for Plaisance while Denzel Logan topped scored for Tutorial with 10 points.
Tutorial High defeated Queen’s College 33-30. Zion Gray scored 11 points while teammate Dequan Manning added 9 points for Tutorial. Damani Thomas scored 11 points and had 7 rebounds for Queens College
