Platinum Auto Expo on August 5 at GMR&SC

After being absent from the entertainment arena for some time, Platinum Promotions will be hosting a massive Auto Expo on August 5, at the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC), Thomas Lands.
According to organiser Mahendra Boodhoo, the event is expected to attract some of the best vehicles in terms of glitz and glamour, while those with the fancy lights, shining rims, and cleanest sound systems will all have the opportunity to win prizes.
Boodhoo, a former racer and President of the GMR&SC, said the occasion was one for the family to enjoy, especially those with a deep appreciation for excellent-looking vehicles and those who just love to compete in such competitions.
Boodhoo added that the Expo was open to all and over $1 million in cash prizes and trophies would be up for grabs for winners in the respective categories.
Participants will compete in over 27 categories and word was that competitors were currently working feverishly to excite the fans with their thorough preparations.
Among the categories to be contested are: Best Antique Bike, Mini Extreme Face Out Cars, Best Rims, Best Graphic Bus and Car, Cleanest SUV, Best Technician, and Biggest Bike.
Additionally, Boodhoo disclosed that fans would be entertained throughout the day with displays set to commence at 14:00h, while the gates will be open from 12:00h.
Advance tickets cost just $1500 per person.
Also, a star-studded line-up of local entertainment talent is anticipated to grace the stage, including Granny Ivelaw, “Chiney Man” and “Chow Pow”.

The official launch of the event will be held on Tuesday, at the GMR&SC from 15:00h.
