PM joins in clean-up campaign in Grove/Diamond NDC
Prime Minister, Brigadier (ret’d) Mark Phillips on Sunday called for more communities to keep their environment clean, as he participated in a clean-up exercise organised by the Grove/Diamond Neighbourhood Democratic Council.
“Clean communities will lead to a cleaner Guyana for all of us. We’re talking about One Guyana, but we also have to have a clean Guyana.”
The senior Government official joined councillors, residents, and representatives of the business community to clean along the Diamond access road from the beginning of the scheme to the second bridge.
At the conclusion of the exercise, he congratulated the participants for their commitment and said that environmental clean-up activities will be a constant feature of the Government’s administration.
The PM also called for more youth participation in these activities.
