Law enforcement officers have discovered 195.9 grams of marijuana contained in a plastic bag and hidden in an abandoned shop at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara during a search exercise conducted between 05:30 and 06:00h on Friday. 
A statement from the Police detailing the discovery has said: “The ranks searched an abandoned shop on the Tarmac at Pouderoyen, and found a bulky plastic bag in a heap of grass containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis.”
The cannabis has been lodged at the Leonora Police Station.
