Police hunting “Lil Man” for armed robbery of security guard

A security guard is now counting his losses after he was pounced upon by three armed men who escaped with his valuables on Wednesday morning.
Edgar Cruickshan, 37, of Bent Street, Werk-en-Rust, was attacked around 05:30h while he was in the vicinity of the Route 47 bus park.
According to reports, Cruickshan was walking along the Longden Street when he was confronted by the three men.
He was pushed into a wall and the men searched his pockets taking his cellphone valued $70,000 and $7000 in cash.
They then escaped on foot, north along the said street. A report was made at the Brickdam Police Station and the name of one of the suspects was given as “Lil Boy”.
An investigation is ongoing.
