Police in Region 2 expand community outreach on crime, social issues

Ranks of Regional Police Division Two, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) have intensified community outreach activities across the division as part of the force’s focus on crime prevention and public engagement. The engagements target a range of issues including crime, traffic safety and the importance of community partnerships. Officers are also conducting patrol-focused discussions with residents to strengthen collaboration and improve responsiveness. In addition, the outreach programme addresses concerns affecting young people, including vaping among juveniles, alcohol consumption by children and school bullying. Police are also educating communities on child abuse, child labour, and inappropriate sexual activities involving minors. Other areas of focus include noise nuisance and family violence, with ranks encouraging residents to report incidents and seek support where necessary.
