The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued a wanted bulletin for a Corentyne taxi driver on Tuesday after he failed to appear in court.
Fifty-year-old Troy Manns of 5th Street, Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Region Six (East Berbice – Corentyne), was charged on October 19, 2020, for inflicting grievous bodily harm on Vijay Ramcharitar.
However, when the matter was called on Tuesday before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh at the Albion Magistrate’s Court, Manns was a no show.
As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest and the case was postponed until November 2, 2020.
Particulars of the charge stated that on October 13, 2020, at Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, he inflicted grievous bodily harm on Ramcharitar with intent to maim or disfigure him.
The matter was investigated and the charges were instituted.
