Police issues wanted bulletin for Linden gang members

The Guyana Police Force has issued wanted bulletins for six men for questioning in connection to the murder of Ean Williams and the attempted murder of his girlfriend, Melita Antigua, which were committed on September 28, 2019, at Lovers’ Lane, South Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice).

Wanted are 21-year-old Martin Fraser of Lot 6 Constabulary Compound and also of Lot 227 South Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, Linden; Renard Caesar, 23, of Lot 904 South Amelia’s Ward, Linden; Richard Caesar, 25, of Lot 904 South Amelia’s Ward, Linden; Randy Billy, 32, also called “Mac T” of South Amelia’s Ward, Linden; Sherwin Benjamin, 31, of Lot 232 South Amelia’s Ward, Linden and 22-year-old Denzil Grant also called “Mob/Plum Ears” of Lot 232 South Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
The men were reportedly implicated in the drive-by shooting which left Williams dead and Antigua battling for her life. It was reported that on September 28 at about 20:30h, the alleged gang members of a Cayanne-based Guyanese group allegedly opened fire on a car in the vicinity of Lovers’ Lane, South Amelia’s Ward, Linden. Williams and Antigua were the only two occupants.
Williams received several gunshot wounds about his body and died on the spot while Antigua was rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex. It was further reported that the car belonged to the now dead man’s cousin, Teon Allen, who was the suspected target.
Allen, called “Spoil Child”, was previously charged for discharging a firearm and was released on $500,000 bail.
At the scene, the girlfriend of a gang member claimed that Allen missed it since he was the intended target. In August 2017, Allen was charged at the Linden Magistrate’s Court for harbouring wanted men – Mark Royden Williams and Uree Varswyck – who broke out of the Camp Street Prison on July 9, 2017.
