Police have launched an investigation into the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl in Region Seven (Cuyuni- Mazaruni) by a 25-year-old man.
Reports are that the incident reportedly occurred on Monday. According to sources, the victim disclosed the horrifying ordeal to her relatives, who reported the incident to the Police on Tuesday.
This led to the arrest of the man who has allegedly confessed to the crime.
