Police raid uncovers stolen items on ECD

Law enforcement officers on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD) recovered a substantial cache of stolen items, including cell phones, laptops, and various electronic devices during a raid on Friday.
The raid, carried out by police ranks, have resulted in the recovery of the items, which are now lodged at the Vigilance Police Station.
Persons, who have recently fallen victim to theft, are encouraged to visit the Vigilance Police Station to verify if any of the recovered items belong to them. This operation is part of a broader response to a recent surge in burglaries reported by residents across several communities in the area.
These thefts have prompted calls for increased security measures from the Guyana Police Force. In response, authorities have intensified their efforts to address the situation, leading to the raid.

The stolen items that were recovered by Police

Just a few weeks prior, police executed another raid at a house on Surat Drive, Triumph, ECD, uncovering several stolen items. Among the recovered articles were a variety of electrical tools and electronic devices.
In a related operation a day before the recent discovery, police recovered four vehicle batteries, seven solar lights, one Total electrical plane, one Total electrical saw, one Royal electrical saw, one INGCO electrical saw, two water pumps, two hand sprayers, one kit containing a ratchet set, one Stihl grass cutter, one Homelite grass cutter, one Terratek battery drill, half a roll of 2.5 electrical wire, two Samsung Galaxy smartphones, and one ZTE cellular phone.
