The cannabis was found concealed in a black bag which had two transparent parcels.
The man was subsequently arrested.
Just two days ago four persons were arrested following the discovery of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana during a Police operation at ECD.
A search was conducted on two homes in the community during which a red plastic bag filled with 10 transparent ziplock bags containing ganja was discovered.
Following the discovery, two men were told of the offence, cautioned and arrested but both men denied knowledge of the drugs.
On the same day, Police went to another home and during the search there, one white plate with a black plastic bag containing a whitish rock-like substance, suspected to be cocaine, was found in the backyard.
Two men were at the premises at the time and as such, they were questioned. One of the suspects reportedly told Police that the drug was a “side hustle”.
The four men were taken to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters where the cocaine was weighed in their presence, amounting to four grams. The cannabis was also weighed and amounted to 17 grams.
