Joshua Brown, 26, also known as “Black Bai” or “Uncle Big Head,” is being sought in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Fendel Trotman. The incident occurred last Sunday at a construction site along the Meten-Meer-Zorg Public Road, West Coast Demerara (WCD). Trotman, popularly known as “Johnny” or “Rasta Man” of Anna Catherina, was working as a mason on a two-storey concrete structure when an argument broke out with Brown.

The confrontation escalated and Trotman was allegedly stabbed in the chest before Brown fled on foot. Persons in the area rushed Trotman to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A knife sheath was recovered at the scene, and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed. Trotman’s body has been taken to the Ezekiel Funeral Parlour pending a post-mortem examination. Anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police at 225-6940, 225-6978, 225-8196, or the nearest police station. Brown resides at Lot 613 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
In September 2021, Brown was sentenced to four years in prison after admitting to two separate robberies in Albouystown, Georgetown, where he threatened victims while armed and stole gold jewellery and other items. He served concurrent sentences for those offences. Efforts continue to locate Brown as the investigation into Trotman’s death are ongoing.
