Police still baffled over Lethem businessman’s death
The police are still baffled over the mysterious death of Eon Caddock, the owner of Bush Master Tourism Company in Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo).
According to Regional Commander Keithon King, the police are still searching for clues to determine how the man died, and are also awaiting the post-mortem examination to help with their probe.
“There are no new developments, the body is presently in Georgetown for a post-mortem to be conducted on Monday”, he said.
Caddock’s body was found on Monday last in the vicinity of Culvert City, Lethem.
According to Police, they received information from an anonymous caller, informing them that a body was seen lying on the roadway.
Upon arrival, the man was found lying face down, clad in a grey and brown jersey along with a pair of red trousers and multi-coloured running shoes.
Upon inspection, the detectives discovered a scratch on the man’s left side cheek.
The now dead man’s body was taken to the Lethem Regional Hospital Mortuary.
Caddock is a British national who had been living in Guyana for the past 25 years.
According to persons in the community, he would normally go jogging in the area where he was found dead.
