Police U25 crush Essequibo Academy by 161 runs

The Guyana Police Force’s Under-25 Cricket team produced a dominant all-round performance to secure a commanding 161-run victory over Essequibo Academy after posting a formidable 243-8 and then bowling out their opponents for just 82.
Batting first, Police Under-25 were led by Captain D Dick, who top-scored with a composed 54 to anchor the innings. D Singh provided valuable support with 38, while L Williams made 30, J Budhram 28 and S Prince 25 as Police steadily built a challenging total of 243-8.

N Lovell was the pick of the Essequibo Academy bowlers, claiming 4-42 from five overs, while D Crossom took 2-16 from four overs.
In reply, Essequibo Academy struggled to cope with the Police bowling attack and never threatened to mount a serious challenge. The innings eventually folded for 82, handing Police Under-25 a comprehensive victory.
Dick completed an outstanding all-round performance by claiming 4-15 from six overs, spearheading the attack and dismantling the Essequibo batting line-up.
J Budhram supported him with 2-12 from 5.1 overs, while S Prince took 2-20 from six overs and J Kishundial claimed 2-29 from six overs.
The four Police bowlers shared all 10 wickets as Police Under-25 completed a convincing 161-run triumph.
