Home News Policeman hospitalised after crashing into culvert
A Police officer attached to the Mibicuri Police Station is now a patient at the Georgetown Hospital after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a culvert on the Corentyne.
The injured Police Constable is 25-year-old Clinton Douglas of Albert Street, Corriverton, Region Six (East Berbice-Berbice).
According to the Police, Douglas was riding his motorcycle along the Kingston Access Road at Corriverton when he lost control, causing the left side of his motorcycle to collide with the culvert on the northern side before ending up on the parapet.
The incident occurred at about 04:20h on Sunday.
The injured policeman was picked up in an unconscious condition by the Police and taken to the Skeldon Public Hospital where he was treated before being transferred to New Amsterdam Public Hospital for further medical attention.
At about 09:30h on Sunday, he was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital for further medical attention. (G4)
