A 26-year-old Police Constable stationed at the Tactical Services Unit (TSU) was on Tuesday robbed of his motorcycle by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Reports are the cop, Prince Bagot, was at his father’s residence at David Rose Street, Bagotville, West Bank Demerara (WBD) around 19:00h when the bandits pounced on him.
Police reports stated that the Constable was on his motorbike in front of his father’s house when the two suspects approached him from behind and held him at gunpoint.
According to the cop, when the men approached him, they told him “not to move and to keep quiet”.
He was then relieved of the motorcycle valued $435,000. The bandits then made good their escape. The motorcycle, bearing registration number CK 2202, is red, white and black in colour. Investigations are ongoing. (G9)
