Home News Pomeroon River boat mishap: Body of missing man recovered at Abrams Creek
The body of 39-year-old Harry Mangal, who went missing after the canoe in which he was travelling collided with a wooden boat on Tuesday evening, was discovered at Abrams Creek, Pomeroon River on Friday.
Mangal, of Abrams Creek, Upper Pomeroon, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), reportedly disappeared after he was thrown into the river following the collision of his canoe with a wooden vessel powered by a 15-horsepower outboard engine. He was reportedly returning home when the accident occurred.
His body was pulled from the river by a team of Police officers and family members a short distance from where the accident occurred. The body has been taken to a funeral home to await a post mortem.
