A man from Meadowbrook Gardens, Georgetown and who works in the interior was on Thursday remanded to prison when he made an appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on a charge of trafficking in narcotics.
Quacy Griffith is accused of having 30 grams of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking on January 18, at Itaballi, Mazaruni, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
The 35-year-old miner denied the charge and was remanded to prison His case will continue on February 3, at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court.
