President Dr Irfaan Ali has implored new graduates of his alma mater – St Stanislaus College – to position themselves to be part of the solution and to be versatile in their pursuits in life.
He was at the time addressing the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) students at their graduating and prize-giving ceremony on Wednesday at the school’s auditorium.
The Head of State reflected on his fond memories of the school and said that his time there moulded him into the person he is today.
“You will confront challenges of inequality. You will confront challenges of uneven treatment. You would confront disparity. These are the realities that you will confront as you move forward in your life, but I ask you not to be part of the problem but position yourself to be part of the solution,” he is quoted by the Press and Publicity Unit of the Office of the President as saying.
