Post Emancipation Race Meet

The place to be on Sunday, September 18, 2016, is at the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice, for its big horse racing meet dubbed, the Post Emancipation Day Race Meet.

The meet promises to be an exhilarating one with lots of cash and prizes up for grabs in a total of seven races.
The terms and conditions that apply to this event, which is being run under the rules of the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club, are as follow: in the event that there are less than five horses entered for any event, the club reserves the right to cancel or reframe the said event; owners of horses must pay at least five thousand dollars ($5000) for each horse at the time of entry; if not paid, the horses’ names would not appear on the official programme and the horse will not be permitted to run; five horses must start before a third prize is awarded. Seven horses must start before a fourth prize is awarded. If only four horses start, the prize money will be reduced by 25 per cent. If only three horses start the prize money will be reduced by 40 per cent.
Entries will close on Sunday, September 18, and there will be no room for late entries because they will not be accepted.
