Senior Superintendent Prem Narine, Head of the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Special Branch, has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB). Narine completed the MBA in 2024 and attended his graduation ceremony on October 15, 2026, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.

The GPF announced Narine’s achievement on its social media platforms, describing it as part of the organisation’s efforts to promote continuous learning and professional development among its ranks.

The Force said Narine’s academic achievement demonstrates his commitment to leadership, professional development and continued learning.
Inspector Pearl Jacobs of the Force’s Audit and Inspection Unit was also recognised for completing a Master’s degree in Business Administration with credit in March 2026 through the Government of Guyana’s Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) scholarship programme at Unicaf University, Zambia.
The Police Force said the achievements of Narine and Jacobs highlight the importance of higher education and professional development within the organisation and could encourage other ranks, particularly younger members, to pursue further studies.
