President Dr Irfaan Ali on Christmas Day met with several children who, through the “Wish upon a Star” initiative, were given the opportunity to visit him at State House.

Five-year-old Ayush Bharat was excited to meet the President, and even took the chance to ask for an autograph. The Department of Public Information reported that the young man was accompanied by his parents, who were themselves surprised that their son was able to have his wish fulfilled.
Meanwhile, 12-year-old twin girls Hafizah and Saleemah Harmon also received a grand surprise when their dream of attending ISA Islamic School was realised with the assistance of the Head of State. The children were overcome with joy as they interacted with the President and engaged in lively conversation.
