His Excellency David Granger earlier today rejected the second list submitted by Leader of the Opposition for nominations for the Chairman of the Guyana Elections Commission.
In a letter dispatched to Opposition Leader, Bharrat Jagdeo, the president stated that he has examined the curricula vitae of the six persons, and as such, found them to be unacceptable.
The nominees were identified as Justice of Appeal B.S Roy (ret’d), Justice William Ramlall (ret’d), attorneys Oneidge Walrond-Allicock, Nadia Sagar, former Magistrate, Kashir Khan and private sector commission representative, Gerald Gouveia.
