WICB PCL Regional 4-Day Championships…
The Barbados Pride have lengthened their lead on the points’ table in the WICB PCL Regional 4-Day Championships, and are now at least 20 points clear of the Guyana Jaguars, who sit in second place at conclusion of the fifth round of this tournament.
Pride are at the apex with 84.2 points, while Guyana Jaguars are in second with 60.8 points. Pride thus far boast the most successful record of the season, with 4 consecutive wins following their opening round defeat.
Trailing by 23.4 points, the Jaguars have played to their first draw of the season — against the Windward Islands Volcanoes. They add that draw to two wins and as many losses.
The Jamaica Scorpions are seemingly gaining ground after their win over the Jaguars. They are in third, with 57.4 points accumulated from two wins, a loss and two draws.
Windward Islands Volcanoes sit in fourth on an even 50 points, accumulated from a win, a loss and 3 draws.Trinidad and Tobago Red Force occupy the penultimate position on 46.6 points. The team from the twin-island republic have only one win, with two losses and two draws.
Leeward Islands Hurricanes, the other team in the tournament, are in the cellar with 32.6 points.
The competition continues on Thursday, February 27, when Scorpions host the Jaguars, Pride tackle the Volcanoes, and Red Force battle the Hurricanes.
