Prisoner to be charged for disturbing Linden court proceedings

A prisoner is expected to be charged for disturbing the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, following a violent outburst in the prisoners holding cell.

The prisoner, Andrew Ward, in a desperate attempt loudly rocked the door of the holding cell, situated in the lower flat of the building, while court was still in session.

Presiding Magistrate Clive Nurse, who was forced to pause the court proceedings, noted that the charge will be instituted against the prisoner, while he appealed to ranks to have the Police Commander have another officer guard the prisoners holding cell.

Shortly after there was yet another outburst by a prisoner of unsound mind, this time with a series of expletives.
