The vibrant yellow costumes with splashes of red and blue depict the red blood cells in the human body while the headdress represents a no-smoking sign.
The Ministry’s vision is for Guyanese citizens to be among the healthiest in the Caribbean and the Americas.
The male and female revellers will be decked out in super hero costumes, with the king float focusing on mental illness and the queen float, non-communicable diseases. The audience got a taste of what could be expected on February 23.
Present at the launch was Deputy Permanent Secretary Glendon Fogenay, who encouraged persons to get registered to be in the band since limited spaces were available. He said that the Ministry is well-prepared and energised for the event come Friday.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary stated that it was important for the Ministry, since it was working assiduously to spread awareness and to ensure that all Guyanese live a long and healthy life.
