Public Service Minister honours Region 2 CSEC top performers
Public Service Minister Sonia Parag and the regional administration last week extended congratulations to Region Two’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams’ top performers at the Regional Democratic Council (RDC)compound during the launch of the Guyana Online Academy of Learning.
The top students – Duvina Seurattan, Swasti Saytoo, and Tabitha Alves – were called on stage by the Regional Executive Officer (REO) Devanand Ramdatt while Minister Parag publicly congratulated them on behalf of President Dr Irfaan Ali and the Education Minister, Priya Manickchand.

Seurattan, of Cullen Village, topped the region, achieving 21 subjects while Saytoo also secured 21 subjects and copped second in the region. In third was Alves, who gained 20 subjects.
“The President of Guyana, along with the Minister of Education, is very elated and overjoyed with the excellent performance at the CSEC examination of the 2019/2020 academic year. I congratulate the top performers and all the other students who have excelled at the examination,” Minister Parag said as she congratulated the students.
She encouraged them to climb the academic ladder and continue to shine in their future endeavours.
