Game Day Seven of the Schoolboys’ Segment in the Kashif & Shanghai Presidents’ Third Futsal Championship lived up to expectations, producing a flurry of goals, emphatic victories, and final clarity on the teams advancing to the Quarter-final stage.
Match One of Game Day Seven in the Schoolboys Segment of the Kashif & Shanghai Presidents’ Third Futsal Championship ended in an entertaining 2–2 draw between Annandale Secondary and Vreed-en-Hoop Secondary. Annandale Secondary found the back of the net through Seaton Rogers in the 11th minute and Devon Williams in the 22nd, showing composure in attack.

However, Vreed-en-Hoop responded with a strong start, as David Williams struck twice in the first and sixth minutes to secure a share of the points. Annandale ended the group with seven points, advancing alongside an impressive Dolphin Secondary, who topped the group with a perfect 12 points from four wins.
Group B witnessed the most lopsided scoreline of the day as West Ruimveldt Secondary delivered a dominant 7–1 victory over Lodge Secondary. Jeremiah Griffith led the onslaught with four goals (seventh, 11th, 11th, and 20th minutes), supported by strikes from Ezikel Stanford, Donovan Welcome, and Dellon Philadelphia. Gilbert Frank scored Lodge’s consolation goal. West Ruimveldt topped the group with a flawless 12 points, advancing alongside Hope Secondary, who finished second with nine points.
Group C also reached its conclusion with two keenly contested matches. West Minster Secondary defeated St Joseph’s High 3–1, thanks to early goals from DeAndre Carr (first minute), Tyrese Johnson (second), and Nickille Watson (10th).
Joel Stephens pulled one back for St Joseph’s High, but the damage had already been done. In another fixture, St John’s College edged Carmel Secondary 2–1, with goals from Robino Abrams (ninth) and Justin Shanks (15th). Kareem Milton scored the lone goal for Carmel. Both West Minster and St John’s College finished with nine points each (three wins and one loss), qualifying from Group C.

In Group D, West Demerara Secondary overcame South Ruimveldt Secondary 3–1. Mickel Prowell opened the scoring in the third minute, followed by goals from Asher McIntyre (16th) and Adrian Giddings (24th). Devonte Gaime scored for South Ruimveldt in the 15th minute. Despite the result, New Central High emerged as group leaders with 12 points from four wins. VYC Academy claimed the second qualifying spot with six points, edging out West Demerara and South Ruimveldt on goal difference.
With the group stage now complete, all eyes turn to the Quarter-finals, which are set to be played on Saturday starting at 18:30h. As the competition intensifies, the remaining schools will look to carry their momentum forward in the quest for futsal supremacy.
