Chabinauth Deoram reportedly assaulted his wife Ronnie Barry on September 10, 2018 at their home at Lot 87 Oronoque Street, Queenstown Georgetown.
He found himself before Magistrate Leron Daly on Friday, facing two counts of assault, both of which he denied.
No other facts on the incidents were presented to the court, and the Police prosecutor did not object to Deoram being placed on bail, requesting only that the couple be placed on a bond to keep the peace, since the defendant is in the habit of assaulting the virtual complainant.
The VC was able also to obtain a restraining order against her husband, who was released on $20,000 bail. The cases will continue on September 25.
