With the championship matches set to take place on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, two more companies have chipped in with support for the third edition of the One Guyana/Kashif & Shanghai/President’s Futsal Championship.
Long-time supporters, Queensway Group of Companies (QGoC) and Bakewell, presented their contributions to co-directors of the coordinating group, Kashif and Shanghai Organisation.

Mohamed Hussein, Manager of the Queensway Group of Companies, said that they were pleased to play a part in this historic championship, which has seen a schoolboy’s tournament for the first time.
Hussein also noted that young players are the bedrock of the game, and it is plausible to see a solid foundation being laid for this format of the game, which can see Guyana making waves at the regional and international levels once there is consistency in play.

Shannan Ganga, General Manager of Bakewell, another long-time supporter of football and sport in Guyana over the years through its Founder/Owner, the late Naeem Naseer, noted that it is an absolute pleasure for Bakewell to continue a great legacy and partnership with the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation.
“We see our partnership with Kashif & Shanghai as a pivotal part of the development of football in Guyana. This is a relationship that dates back decades, and we have seen what such collaborations bring for our athletes and the nation. So, we are happy to continue something we see as one of our social responsibilities.”
Both co-directors expressed gratitude to Mohamed Hussein and Shannan Ganga for their companies’ continued and unwavering support for the game while wishing them both a blessed 2026.
