For the third time, The Young Warriors Cricket Club (YWCC) fund raiser, Mash Cup 2017 is forced to be postponed due to heavy rainfall that has caused flooding at the venue. This, the fourth edition was slated for today at the Cumberland Cricket Ground, East Canje, Berbice but will now be played at a new date to be announced.

A release from the Cumberland based cricket club said that it is very unfortunate that the tournament which was originally fixed for the traditional Mash and then April 9, has to be rescheduled once again.
The release from club President, Rafeek Kassim stated that everything was in place with excellent weather prevailing and then suddenly the rain came. He said that the club has no control over God’s work and will announce a new date as soon possible.
He advised that all tickets purchased will be valid for the new date. In closing, Kassim thanked the sponsors so far for their support.
