Rain spoils Essequibo, ECD heated clash

Play on the third and final day of the Guyana Cricket Board, Cricket Guyana Inc Jaguars 3-Day League round six match between Essequibo and East Coast Demerara was badly affected by rain and eventually ended in a tame draw.
Resuming on 51 for 4 with an overall lead of 82 runs, East Coast Demerara battled to 187 for 7 before the players shook hands at the start of the final hour after recognizing that an outright victory was not insight.

In all, 23 overs were lost due to rain but Bhaskar Yadram (62) and Rajendra Chandrika (57 not out) cashed in after the delay. Amir Khan was 17 not out when the game was called off.
For the points leaders, Kevin Gordon took 3-23 while Anthony Adamd and Akinie Adams had one a-piece.
