Rained-out Milo games on this week

…Carmel, Charlestown, Dolphin, West Ruimveldt win on opening day

The Milo Schools Football tournament made a grand return on Saturday last, with Dolphin, West Ruimveldt, Charlestown and Carmel Secondary Schools enjoying wins.
However, the other four exciting games that were scheduled for Sunday, June 19, were called off owing to inclement weather and the state of the Ministry of Education (MoE) Ground after such.
“After a careful assessment of the conditions at the ground, the organisers have been forced to call off today’s games. These games will be played on Wednesday and Thursday respectively starting at 5pm,” the Petra Organisation advised on Sunday.
As a result, Ann’s Grove Secondary will take on Uitvlugt Secondary and North Ruimveldt Secondary will battle East Ruimveldt Secondary, both on Wednesday. On Thursday, Golden Grove Secondary will duke it out with Buxton Secondary, while Dolphin Secondary meets Charlestown Secondary in the following game. The first whistle will blow at 5pm on both days.
Meanwhile, Dolphin Secondary, at the MoE Ground on Saturday managed to pick up the first win of the restructured and resumed Milo Under-19 Schools Football tournament, thumping St John’s College 4-1.
