Guyana and Caribbean Ladies Badminton Champion Priyanna Ramdhani wrapped up a successful Pan American Badminton Federation Young Talents Camp 2017 staged from November 9-15 in Paramaribo, Suriname.
The badminton ace also did well in the Suriname Open International Championships played at the Ismay Van Wilgen Sporthal which commenced from

November 16-18.
The Camp was conducted twice daily under the direction of Pan American Coach Martijn van Dooremlen, was directed towards improving Ramdhani’s game in terms of her technical & tactical approach.
In the first match played on Thursday November 16, saw Ramdhani securing a draw against the No.1 seeded player in the tournament; Fernanda Saponara Rivva of Peru losing 21:14, 21-8 in Round 2 in the Ladies Singles.
In the Ladies Doubles; the Guyanese joined forces with Chequeda De Boulet of Trinidad to defeat Faith Sariman and Chaista Somemodipoero of Suriname in Round 2: 21-11, 21-13; thus reaching Quarter-Finals.
The Mix Doubles saw the pair of Ramdhani and Danney Chen of Suriname losing to the Bajan duo of Jonathan Thorpe and Tamisha Williams 23-21, 9-21, 12-21. The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) is extremely pleased with the national player’s performances and wished her the best in her future training and tournaments.
