The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) held its biennial General Meeting on Monday (January 22, 2018) at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue. The GBA also had their elections as Gokarn Ramdhani returned unopposed as President of the outfit, Ramdhani’s second in command will be Dr Nicholas Waldron. The lone new face of the Committee is Dr. Shivannie Persaud.

Meanwhile the GBA’s first activity for the Year is the GUMDAC Doubles & Mix Doubles Tournament which will be held on February 2-3, at the National Gymnasium.
Following that tournament, the Male and Female Pam American Team Continental tournament is set for February 15-18 in the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Just a week later on February 26 and28 the NSC Mashramani Invitational Tournament will see local badminton players do battle.
