Ranger remanded for narco-trafficking

Collins Thompson of Charity, Essequibo Coast was on Monday remanded to prison when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The 50-year-old ranger of Region Two denied that he had in his possession 19 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He was reportedly found with the cocaine at a Police Outpost.
The man, who claims to be a malaria and dengue patient, is scheduled to appear at the Bartica Magistrates’ Courts on February 15.
