A Joint Services operation led to the recapture of 21-year-old rape suspect Devon Ally who was nabbed in Betervawagting, East Coast Demerara (ECD) on Wednesday.
Ally had escaped from the La Grange Police Station on January 2, 2018.
When he was arrested on Wednesday, Police found two plastic face masks in his possession.
Ally, of West Minster, West Bank Demerara, was wanted in connection with rape of a child under 16 for which he has since been charged. Police disclosed that he also was charged with assaulting a female relative and escaping lawful custody. The alleged rapist will make an appearance at the Wales Magistrate’s Court today.
