Ravens, Colts soar to convincing GABA Legacy wins

Onyx Ravens and Bounty Colts produced commanding performances on Wednesday night, as the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) Legacy Knockout Tournament continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH), Homestretch Avenue.

In the Under-23 Division, Onyx Ravens overwhelmed Valhalla Knights 79-37 in the second game of the division, using their experience and efficiency at both ends of the court to establish control from the opening exchanges.
Stephen Duke led the Ravens’ scoring with 18 points, while Kofi Hossanah added 13, and Captain Alroy Nurse contributed 12. Ishmail Chapman scored six, with Amaan Yusuf adding three.
For Valhalla, Darius Tyrell was the leading scorer with 15 points, while Hesleyman Jones finished with three. Orlando Monahan and Sylvon Washington added two points apiece, with Nathaniel Sanchara also scoring two.
The Knights, a young and developing unit, battled throughout but struggled to contain the more expe-rienced Ravens, who maintained their advantage as the contest progressed.
In the Senior Division, Bounty Colts also registered a convincing victory, defeating Black Caimans 71-33 in the second senior game of the night.
Kimmol Grimmond paced the Colts with a game-high 19 points, while Carmelo Manshing added 18 and Jammel Damon contributed 12. Richard Telford scored six, with Captain Shelroy Thomas adding five.
Shaquane Favourite led Black Caimans with five points, while Sheran Greaves and Shemar Morris scored four each. Jonathan Hawke contributed three, with Miguel Vega adding two.
The Colts controlled proceedings from the opening quarter, with their depth and experience allowing them to maintain a comfortable advantage throughout the contest.
