Real estate company burglarised

Police are investigating a break and enter robbery at Fabulous Home International on Robb Street, Georgetown.
Reports are that thieves torched and cut the locks to the doors of the manager and CEO’s office, taking a safe with an undisclosed amount of cash along with cheques.
This publication was told that the incident occurred sometime over the weekend, as the staff made the discovery when they turned up for work on Monday.
“We saw the door open, and money on the floor and the other young lady that was with us she told us that she saw the manager’s door open. So, when we go up, we saw the manager’s door was opened and it was tumbled, and then we go upstairs to the door where we entered and the CEO’s door was open as well,” one employee said. The thieves also removed the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and cut the company’s telephone lines.
Guyana Times was told that Police were able to obtain surveillance footage from a nearby building. The footage showed the men fetching the safe to an awaiting car.
Just last year, the company was robbed at gunpoint by masked men who demanded cash; shots were also fired during that ordeal but no one was injured.
