The first of 18 games will begin at 10:00h this morning when Victoria Primary tackle Mocha Primary to signal the start of the third round of the Courts/ Malta Pee competition at the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground.
Among the teams in action today are tournament first timers Sophia Primary and St. John’s Bosco Children’s Home, former champions St. Pius Primary and defending champions St. Angela’s Primary.
After recording back to back wins in the opening rounds, Sophia will be looking to extend their dream run when they take on Marian Academy. However, they will have their work cut out since Marian Academy are fresh off of their 7-0 whipping of Winfer Gardens last week.
Two-time defending champions, St Angela’s Primary will look to capitalize on Winfer Garden’s low form and confidence to get back to their winning ways after suffering a 0-1 defeat last week to Sophia while Tucville will be looking for maximum points after playing to a draw in round two with FE Pollard Primary. Their opponents this week are former champions, St. Pius.
The match of the day will no doubt be between St. John’s Bosco Children’s Home and La Parfaite Harmonie Primary who are both coming off of big wins in round two.
St. John’s punished Goed Fortune 11-0 while La Parfaite Harmonie tormented J.E. Burnham 4-0 to set up the huge clash today.
