After a day of ‘palancing’ at the Mashramani Costume and Float Parade, all attention will now be placed on the parties over the weekend but more so, the “Red Square Fete” slated to commence this evening at the parking lot of the Synthetic Track, Leonora, West Coast Demerara.
The artistes are expected to arrive in the country over the next few hours and are eager to hit the stage to entertain their fans. The second show, however, will be held at the Lusignan Community Centre Ground, East Coast Demerara, on Saturday, February 25, and the final show is billed for Rose Hall, Canje Ground, Berbice, on Sunday, February 26.
The event was planned to coincide with all the other parties for Mash 2017 and is titled “Red Square Fete”. It will feature a long list of international, regional and local artistes.
The list includes Trinidad chutney sensations, Adesh Samaroo, De Hunter, Rick Ramoutar and Sexy Vanessa, along with Guyana’s own Terry Gajraj gracing the event with his presence.
The Guyanese cast will include Steven Ramphall and Aamir Khan who are all members of the Shakti Strings Orchestra and Ishara Dancers. Also adding some vibes to the three-night affair will be the versatile duo, WR Reaz and Selector Andy from the Team MMR family.
Tickets for the event cost $1000 in advance and more at the gate. Showtime for all the shows will be 19:00h but gates will be opened at 17:00h.
