Referee Agard, ITO Chase for AMBC Youth Championships

Guyana is expected to be represented on both sides of the ring in the upcoming Americas Boxing Confederation (AMBC) Youth Championship (Pan American Youth Games) as two of the most experienced judges of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) will be officiating at the event later this year.

One-star referee/ judge Ramona Agard and International Technical Officer (ITO) Elton Chase have been selected to participate in the Championships, which will see athletes from over 30 countries participating.
Agard is one of three local AIBA certified one-star officials, while Chase is the only ITO in Guyana. GBA President Steve Ninvalle, in an invited comment, applauded the selection of the two while claiming that it would provide much-needed exposure for the duo.

The AMBC Youth Championships are scheduled for November 25-December 5 in Cali, Colombia.
