A Region One (Barima-Waini) man was on Tuesday remanded to prison after he appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus slapped with a rape charge.
It is alleged that during September 2017, Peter George, called “Paul”, raped the 12-year-old at Moruca, North West District.
Following the incident, the matter was reported to the Police. George was remanded to prison until March 27 when the case will continue.
