Region 3 CCI gets new management committee

The Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) is now under new management as a new committee was installed.

The new committee was elected at the CCI’s Annual General Meeting held at the Aracari Resort, West Bank Demerara.

Ramesh Rameshwar is the newly elected President of the chamber while Haleem Khan was is Vice President. The new General Secretary is DC Mayers while the Treasurer is Asgar Bacchus.

The new Region Three Chambers of Commerce and Industry management committee

Mohan Singh is now the new Organising Secretary with Praem Rambharak elected as the new Public Relations Officer.

Elected as other committee members are Khushial Dat, Richard Sukhdeo, Omar Ramlakhan, Deodat Persaud, Rebenaut Tularam and Shakir Ali.

The new President pledged his commitment to work along with the new committee to diligently carry out its mandate.

He noted that the new committee’s objective is to operate within the confines of the constitution of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

However, he used the opportunity presented to him to call on businesses for their support and cooperation as “collectively we can create and operate in a business environment conducive to expansion and growth.”

Rameshwar also stated that all businesses will be represented impartially and the new management committee stands committed to effectively address all issues affecting businesses in the region, while leaving no stone unturned.
