Region 5 Chairman responds to Carol Joseph’s letter

Dear Editor,
Please grant me a space in your newspaper to respond to a letter published in other sections of the media on April 26 and 27, written by Carol Joseph, Region Five Councillor.
Councillor Joseph stated in her letter that the Regional Chairman disrespected the President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana by referring to him as a “Jackass” at a public meeting held on 5 May, 2016, at Foulis, West Coast Berbice.
I will like to make it very clear that I never attended any public meeting at Foulis, and secondly I did not utter those words.
Those statements by Councillor Joseph are false and totally misleading.
I consider myself a respectful individual and there is no need for me to disrespect anyone.
This is a blatant attempt by Councillor Joseph to tarnish my character as the Regional Chairman of Region Five and also it’s my belief that she does not want to allow the region to move forward.
