Resilient Crawford takes GCF 3rd points-race

With a place on Guyana’s National Cycling team at stake, Romello Crawford won the Federation’s third points-race on Sunday.
The race commenced with 28 riders toeing the starting line just outside of the Ocean View International Hotel at Liliendaal, ECD and proceeded to the Abary Bridge that separates West Coast Berbice from East Coast Demerara. Riders then beat a fast pace back to the starting point, as points are awarded only to the first 10 cyclists to cross the finish line.

Victory! Romello Crawford crosses the finish line ahead of Curtis Dey

Leading the field in a time of 3h: 4m, 11s was Romello Crawford. Behind him came Curtis Dey, Mario King of the Guyana Police Force, Alonzo Edwards (GDF), Lear Nunes and Ian Jackson in that order.
In the Juniors category, Curtis Dey took first place while Nigel DeGood was second; and in the Veterans category, Lear Nunes came in first, Ian Jackson second, and Jaikarran Sukhai third.
