RHTY&SC town week continues to gather major sponsorship

Plans by the cricket teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, M.S to host the biggest and most successful Town Week in the history of Guyana are going full steam ahead as more sponsors come on board for the 46th anniversary celebration of Guyana’s smallest township, Rose Hall Town.
Digital Edge, the Rose Hall Branch of Republic Bank, F+H Printery of Georgetown, Hephzibah Ministries of Rose Hall Town, R Das and Sons Supermarket of Alness and the Government Information Agency have all join hands with Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation to make the Town anniversary scheduled for the 14th to 25th of September a memorable one for every resident of Rose Hall Town.
Sherwin Sinclair, CEO of Digital Edge has donated 100 copies of the 46th anniversary logo to the Club while Republic Bank (Guy) has donated funds for the publication of a large 11 feet x 6 feet banner to inform residents of the upcoming activities. Pastor Alvin Aladdin of Hephzibah Ministries and the Management of R. Das and Sons have also sponsored the publication of banners as a part of the massive public-relations campaign to promote the event across Berbice.
The club would also be working along with Azeem Khan, Communication Officer of GINA to produce a comprehensive Television documentary on the history of Rose Hall Town, its development over the years and achievements in education, youth development and sports.
The documentary would be launched during the Town Week official opening on the 14th of September. The ‘B’ Division of the Guyana Police Force who has a close working relationship with the RHTY&SC, M.S have agreed to offer security for the Town Week, operate a booth at the Career and Business Fair while members of the Force and the Community Policing Groups would also be part of the massive March Past at the opening ceremony.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster who is spearheading the Town Week activities stated that plans for the grand celebrations are on steam and as usual, the RHTY&SC, M.S has been able to get numerous donors to get on board. Among the major events scheduled are the Opening Ceremony, Day of Sports, Medical Outreach Programme, Launching of Booklet on Rose Hall Town, Public Exhibition, Honouring Outstanding Residents, Opening of a Family Recreation Park, Educational Competitions, Steel-band Concert, Rose Hall Town Cuisine Competition and a Career and Business Fair.
The events would be organised by the RHT Farfan and Mendes Under 15, Bakewell Under 17 and Second Division, Pepsi Under 19 and Intermiade, Metro Females and Gizmos & Gadgets Under 21 Teams.
The long serving Secretary/CEO expressed gratitude to the donors for their support and assured them that all the events would be properly organised and that every objective of the Town Week would be achieved.
